Candle Care

We recommend the following care to ensure the longevity of your Cakey Candle. It is important that you read all information regarding candle care as well as the warning label at the base of you candle prior to burning.

 

• To ensure an even smoke-free burn, the wick should be centered & trimmed to a length of 1/4-inch each time before lighting.

• Keep lit candle on a heat proof and stable surface. 

• Burn candle for 3/4 hours at a time to prevent candle tunneling. Let the wax melt across the entire surface to optimize scent throw.

• If the flame is getting lost in the wax pool, extinguish the flame, pick up glass with potholder or cloth, and carefully pour excess wax into wastebasket.

• DO NOT POUR WAX IN SINK, once the wax hardens it can clog pipes.

• Always keep your candle out of reach of children, pets, and curtains. Never leave a burning candle unattended.

• Never use water to put out the flames as it can become highly flammable when mixed with oils of the wax and fragrance. Turn wick into the wax to extinguish so there’s no smoke created.
